Today Harriet, of my regulars, was telling me how NYC is becoming a police state. They want us to show our medical history and tell them if we have been vaccinated… bla bla. Enough! What is next?… We have good laughters together. She is telling me this while voraciously scrolling and texting the on her cellular phone. For me or any hairstylist its extra hard to to work in someone head that is looking down texting; and keep pushing clients head back up to a straight position is extra work… it’s very difficult to separate and flat iron the hair if people are constantly looking down and up in their phones and not to mention that it takes 30/45 minutes longer to finish our work.
So from Today on I am making a new rule: No texting while having your hair done. Give tour self a break and put the phone down while you’re getting your hair done.

All last year; politicians, covid and Trump was all that you saw on the tube. These civil servants are working for the people. But why are they on “tell-a-vision” 24/7.
We need to support our neighborhood businesses, our friends and create a new economy… the one they have is not working.
